Cyprus Without a Car
Technically reachable is not the same as practically accessible.
Public transport connects many places in Cyprus. But a bus line on a map doesn't show the walk that remains after the last stop. I document that remaining distance on my own journeys.

What distance changes
Time
Every extra kilometre on foot is added before the hike begins and again after it ends.
Elevation
The walk from a stop often climbs to the trailhead, adding effort the trail map doesn't show.
Weather exposure
Road walks are usually unshaded, which matters in Cyprus summer heat.
Safety
Some connections follow roads without pavements or rough tracks.
Timing
A missed last bus can turn a day hike into a much longer walk.

How the data is gathered, and its limits
- Routes and elevation: my own GPS recordings and Komoot/Strava tracks of the hikes.
- Bus routes, stops and times: official Cyprus public transport data (CC BY 4.0), with live delays from the official real-time feed.
- Walking connections: OpenStreetMap routing; times assume an average walking pace.
- Sun, shade and duration: estimates, not measurements.
